Meet our founder

Kat Wawner is the creative force behind Wawner Strategies, and proudly employs her all-female staff of six. With over two decades of experience in PR, brand strategy, and storytelling, Kat built this agency to champion purpose-driven brands with clarity, heart, and results. Known for her sharp instincts and tenacious leadership, she’s helped launch campaigns that earn national headlines while keeping community at the core. Outside the office, she’s a mentor, a connector, and a mom, passionate about creating space for women to lead and thrive.

2022

Agency Launch

Wawner Strategies was founded in Charleston, marking the beginning of our journey. Our mission was clear: to provide big-agency strategy to emerging brands.

2023-2024

National Campaigns

We quickly won the trust of some of the biggest names in the Southeast, proudly leading highly visible campaigns with celebrities such as Jeremy Renner and Alex Morgan.
